WHAT IS THE CONSOLIDATED EMPLOYERS’ ORGANISATION?

The Consolidated Employers’ Organisation was founded November 1998, when it was officially registered with the Department of Labour in terms of section 96(7) of the Labour Relations Act, 1995.

Known as CEO, the organisation was formed after recognising that many Employers were increasingly vulnerable to complex labour laws. These laws placed additional burden on Employers who lack the knowledge, time and expertise to deal with them.

In the same manner in which unions represent employees, employers need a professional and expert-driven organisation to represent them in CCMA and Bargaining Council matters, which form part of the modern-day labour environment.

The Employers’ Organisation initially focused on assisting businesses with fewer than 100 employees, but over time – as a result of requests from larger enterprises – CEO began offering its service to enterprises of any size. The CEO ensures assistance and advice of the highest standard to all its members.
