As we embark on the journey of a new year, it is my privilege to welcome back the staff and members of the Consolidated Employers Organisation (CEO). I trust that each of you has returned from your well-deserved breaks feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. Let me take this moment to wish you and your loved ones a prosperous and fulfilling 2025.
This year marks a significant milestone for CEO, as we proudly celebrate our 10-year anniversary. While our official registration predates this celebration, 2025 commemorates our remarkable transformation from a small Western Cape-based organisation to a nationwide entity with a strong and growing footprint. This journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, and it is a testament to the unwavering commitment of our staff and the steadfast support of our members.
As of January 3rd, 2025, CEO’s membership has reached an impressive total of 19,176 member entities (employers). This growth is not just a number; it reflects the trust and confidence our members place in us as their preferred partner in navigating the complex landscape of labour relations, CCMA and Bargaining Council sittings, and Collective Bargaining. We owe this success to the dedication and passion of our team, who have gone above and beyond to deliver exceptional service.
In 2024 alone, CEO handled over 9 581 matters on behalf of our members. These cases represent not only the challenges faced by employers but also the resilience and expertise of our organisation in finding solutions that promote fairness and equity. Our staff have driven an astounding 670 626,66 kilometres across the country, ensuring that our members receive the support they need, wherever they may be.
To our staff: thank you for your unwavering commitment to excellence. Your hard work and dedication are the cornerstones of our success. To our members: thank you for your continued support and trust. You are the reason we strive to improve and grow every year.
As part of our vision for 2025, CEO will be embarking on an initiative to “Get Back to Basics.” This initiative aims to reinforce the foundational aspects of employment relationships, both internally within our organisation and externally with our members. By ensuring that the basics are correctly implemented and adhered to, we strive to equip our members with the tools needed to succeed in any disputes that may arise in the future. This initiative reflects our commitment to excellence and our dedication to fostering strong, compliant, and equitable workplaces.
